Valve cover?
Will a 1996 4.0 valve cover fit on a 1995 4.0?

Re: Valve cover?
I noticed when looking at valve cover gaskets they list 96 and up, not for a 95?

Re: Valve cover?
Head doesn't matter as far as valve cover fit is concerned. The later steel valve cover will fit on earlier heads. The only thing that changes are the PCV elbows and grommets.

Re: Valve cover?
The stamped steel 96 and up will fit all years because the bottom is flat...the 95 and down cast alluminum will not due to the ridge on the bottom. I ground down my ridge so the bottom was flat so my 92 cover fit my 96 head.

Re: Valve cover?
Yeah... i used a VC from a 2000 on my 90 RENIX. Just had to change out my CCV stuff (which is a good idea anyway).
If it feels right, then STROKE it!
