Adjustable MAP issues

Post by bill_durango »

4.7 stroker, 24 lbs injectors and trying to install an adjustable MAP, but I keep throwing Codes on my OBD1, indicating Voltage is too high? I have tried setting the adjuster everywhere between 4.6 VDC and 5.6 VDC and I keep getting engine codes right after start up. Do Adjustable MAP's have to run through a relay and wait to be switched on after the jeep is started?

No, it doesn't have to be run through a relay but the 12v supply should only be active when you turn the ignition switch on. Here's my schematic:
