Yeah I found out the head was worked once before, so when I ported it and then had another valve job done it set the valves back in the head quite a bit, so I worked on it a little more afterwards and eventually got the right pushrods. I actually just bought another head to replace this one

I bought an incomplete Renix engine with 188K on it that turned out to be total junk. I salvaged the block but will swap in a high output head. I'm still messing with valves but noticed a trend. Any time these engines have more than 50K on them, the intake valves clean up without fuss but every exhaust valve is poor, pitted and unbelievably nasty. I'll probably order a new set of valves in the morning and these things aren't cheap unless going through JC Whitney. I don't want to borrow any valves from the old head but I think it might be a good idea at this point. :?

Just installed ev6 22.5 lb/he at 43.5 psi injectors, still had to trim them back, my guess is our new engines are so much more efficient that the bsfc is lower than anticipated

The original renix 4.0 i own comes out to .475 bsfc per the witch hunter calculator, if my horsepower/torque rating are in the 260 to 270 range that puts me somewhere around .40 : ) give or take .02
