Improved block oiling?

Post by MN_luda »

Im going to be machining a 4.0 for a stroker build this week for a friend, and im curious if their is anything that can be done to improve oiling? for example, on sbc chevys there are certain holes you champfer, you can polish the area in the lifter valley where the oil drains back from the heads etc. Is there any tricks like this on a 4.0 block?

First see here: http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... =34&t=2671

Search my build thread for the camshaft gear oiling mod and the windage screen.

Smooth out rough edges in the oil filter adapter.

Polish the block and head for better oil drain back.

Not much else you can do.
