The funny thing is Comp recommends the 926 for all of their Xtreme Energy 4x4 grinds for the 4.0. Nobody's thinking over there.... They do not belong in a mild mannered daily driven motor.

Correct me if I'm wrong - it's been a while since I shopped for cams - but aren't those recommendations for a 4.2L? They say the cam fits a 4.0, but I believe the spring specs are just for a 4.2. (which have a taller spring height).

Yes, they are to fit the 4.2L head. Comp Cams doesn't care.
