Need quench help!

Post by ghetdjc320 »

My plans are to build a mini stroker and here is what I have so far. 93 4.0 bored .03093 7120 head. Upgraded valve springs moly retainers. I have a set of speed pro hypereutectics and moly rings for it. I am following the "wilder mini stroker" recipe except for the bore size and pistons. I need some info on which 232 crank to use. I would prefer one that didn't require any snout work. Also I am calculating a -.014 deck clearance and need to find the thickest gasket possible. I was told that the felpro 530sd was .052 compressed can someone verify this? That would set my quench at .038 would that be alrite? My scr should've 9.75:1 ish. Thanks!

Am currently running the 530sd(a good gasket) in a race application with .039 quench and 93 octane. Am considering lowering to .030 with the victor gasket next season.

Thanks for that input! Then .038 should be doable. Any ideas where to find a 232 crank and what crank is best? Thanks!
