Renix Flywheel crank tooth positioning

Post by jbxx »

OK another dumb question here.
I am stroking an 88 Renix engine.
When I removed the flywheel I marked both the flywheel and the crank to aid in
reassembling , forgetting that I am installing a new crank!
There are three "gaps" in the flywheel teeth 120 deg out.
Is there a procedure for indexing or lining up the crank at TDC?
or can it be installed incorrectly?

The flex plate/flywheel can only go on one way. Rotate it until all the holes line up.
