Machine Work Cost
I'm a little suprised, I was just quoted 1000 to 1300 minimum to do the machine work on my engine, which would just be boring the motor to 060 over and doing their checks, which could lead to more stuff that needs machining, aka more cost... Is this a normal price for this kind of work? I walked into this thinking it'd be 500 to 600, maybe, which I got from a friend who paid that much to do a lot more work to a V8 a while back? Idk if that is just normal or if I got quoted a super high price, on top of that, they said it would be the same amount of cost just to do the machining work, but not as much over and for a stroker, which just to me sounds sorta unreasonable. This also leads me to my side question of what are my options for just buying a prebuilt stroker, because at this point I think that doing it myself is out of the question due to that cost.
