Comp cams 26903-1 valve springs

Post by dwg86 »

I think there’s finally a drop in valve spring that will fit the Jeep 4.0 head. It will work with the 2.2/2.5 dodge spring retainers. Check them out.
1.650 installed height 95lbs installed, 260@ .550 max lift. 300lb spring rate. $67.65 for a set of 12.

Sorry you’ll need the 2.2/2.5 Mopar performance spring retainer

Sorry I keep posting to my own thread. I can't edit my post.
It seams the mopar performance spring retainers p4452032 are no longer available. Melling VSR-513-S is the part number for the stock replacement retainers.

Gonna necro this a bit, I have Hughes 1278 retainers on the way. Has anyone tried these with those retainers? If they don't do what I want, I'm going to use the 1110P springs instead. I'm going to run the Lunati 10680702LK/V262H12 which has something like .507/.527 lift. I'm thinking these will at least work for break in, and then I'll switch to the 1110Ps if this thing gets floaty on me.
