new 4.6 tunning

Post by len1xj »

I have a freshly built 4.6 stroker. less the 200 miles. I am looking to get this tunned. 1/2 for miles and the other half for power (if that makes since and I really do ;) ) any way it is running very well, in fact more then I had hoped for. I took a friend out for a ride and from a died stop I gunned it. it though him back in the set so hard it broke. hated to see the bucket set brake but, wow.
any way I need to get this thing tunned mostly because the gas consumption is killing me. I also cant wait to see how much more she can put out with a healthy tune.
My question is where could I get a good tune for this stroker and at what price?

I have to thank Russ for the parts he put together for me based on what I wanted. I cant thank him enough.
PS I live in Omaha

I know this is old, but I'm going to put this here in case anyone is searching:
For my build I'm using the pcm from a 97 grand. The original software in it was the DCX 05010380AA. I'm tuning myself using sct pro racer advantage 3, I believe that's the same that flyinryan is using. When buying the program I learned you need to have certain softwares to tune, in this case 05010380AB, the latest update. Aside from it being a transplant to an AMC, all the Chrysler dealers around me were unable/unwilling to perform the update for me due to the age of the pcm. I would recommend having all your data in line before starting a project that will require tuning. Also, I'm not 100 percent certain, but wranglerfix advertises on his site he can update software with original DCX software, so he may be another viable option.

I scoured the internet, after messaging wranglerfix and getting a delayed response (my own impatience, but I understand he is VERY busy these days), I eventually grabbed one from eBay with my correct software.
