So, sometime in the last few months, I noticed that Comp Cams has updated their catalog and all the AMC/Jeep cams are now nitrided. With the price also going up $100 or more.
I know Comp Cams has a bad, bad reputation for their cams going flat during break-in or shortly afterward, and I'm sure the nitriding is an attempt to reduce this problem. I had one of Comp Cams camshafts go flat during break in on an old big block for years ago.
Has anyone noticed that Comp Cams is now nitriding all of their Jeep cams?
