Len1xj,
I put the 2000+ intake manifold on my 4.7 stroker in my 98 Wrangler. All of the accessories, injectors, and throttle body bolted on fine. The 98 intake has different vacuum connections than the 2000+. So, you’ll need to move some vacuum brass fittings from the old manifold to the new and drill/tap some 1/4 Npt holes where the fittings are too small. There are several threads out there on this. If you need some help let me know and I’ll dig up some pictures.

You''ll also need the later style PS pump mounting bracket.

Thanks guys. that is a big help. I thought I might have to change the mounting brackets but I did not think of the vacuum lines.
TGBUD the pictures you are talking about would be a big help. sounds like I will have to take the manifold off to drill.
Thanks for the help

Re: 1998 xj with 200 intake.
OK, heres how I did it. Pictures (in reverse order) below of power steering front, new manifold side, new manifold top, new manifold before modification, old manifold. Letters A-G mark the ports—same letters on all pics.
A—1/4” NPT vacuum fitting from old to new. Longer brake hose for power booster.
B—1/4” NPT medium vacuum fitting for PCV hose from valve cover.
C—Cut off port and drill/tap for 1/4” NPT to mount IAT sensor.
D—Cut off port and drill/tap for 1/4” NPT for Evap fitting from old manifold.
E— climate control (longer hose) to existing vacuum port on new manifold
F—Fabricated new bracket for fuel hard line mounting
G—plugged this port on new manifold.
I did not need a different power steering bracket for a 98 wrangler, 98 block, 98 0630 head, 2000+ manifold. TJBUD

Re: 1998 xj with 200 intake.
The Cherokee's must be different than the TJ's and Grand Cherokee's??, the late intake I have was on an engine that I picked up and was told it was out of a Grand Cherokee?, ALL of the hardware bolted right back on with NO issues on my '97 TJ, and like TJBUD said, some of the vacuum fittings and a wire or two is all that need to be modified.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!
