Injector questions
Ive completed my clegg stage 2 stroker kit with their stage 1 cam and also put their 24lbs 252cc 6 hole injectors in. Running good I reset the pcm by touching the cables for 30 secs and turning ignition on the lights in lights off then key off. I have hptuners software for tuning and Im researching and trying to learn
How to tune it and i was wondering if theres anything in the tune I should be changing for the injectors?

Re: Injector questions
No the actual # on the injector body. Most likely a Bosch # or tell me what color they are since pulling them out isn’t an option lol.

Re: Injector questions
How does it run with those injectors? Those are the Ford racing 6 hole 24#at 39 psi injector.

Re: Injector questions
Please explain hard on gas. You mean it gets horrible fuel mileage? It is a Jeep with aero dynamics of a Brick lol. I’m about to build my stroker and everybody telling me those injector are too big .

Re: Injector questions
Well how long has the new engine been in? It takes a while to break in and for the computer to relearn the new injectors. The ecu uses the o2 sensor to adjust the air/fuel to 14.7:1 after its warmed up and part throttle driving. Is it throwing any cels? Need to put it on a scanner and check the fuel trims. That will tell you if those injector are too big and make sure the o2 sensor is working. I want to run those injectors but like I said everybody in here say they are too big for a 96-06. Better make sure you have no leaks also.

Re: Injector questions
I ran the scanner from hptuners on it today highest i seen on long term fuel trims was 10 and the lowest was -6 so i guess the injectors arent too big?

Re: Injector questions
That’s good to hear cause I really wanted to run those injectors lol. Few in here ran them in their 49 psi fuel rail and they claimed they were a bit rich.

Re: Injector questions
I dont really see the fuel trims going negative too much when i first started it after rebuild and stroker install it was adding plus 30 while i was breaking in the cam but its gotten better since I think it was adding fuel because i was running it without a thermostat to avoid air pocket/overheating during the cam breakin

Re: Injector questions
Yea that probably why. It’s was running rich. How is closed loop wide open throttle air fuel ratios? You should be about 12.5:1. Have you bumped the timing with the cps yet? How much compression you running?

Re: Injector questions
Only thing ive tried so far is setting the open loop delay to 0 under the power enrich settings havent touched the timing and i dont have a wideband yet. I tried the stock injectors just for fun today and the long term fuel trims are 19.5 at idle and go up to 25 while driving so igonna say they arent supplying enough fuel.
