05-06 Does CPS clocking matter???

Post by Mike1080p »

Hello guys, new here trying to figure out way to get over this wall I’ve ran into. I have an 06 Wrangler and swapped out the 42rle auto trans for a 5spd ax-15. I know I can buy an adapter bellhousing, however I am seeking to attempt modifying the bellhousing myself first.
I know that the distance between the flywheel and sensor has to be exact. However I do not know if the clocking matters eg. (2O’clock vs 3O’Clock)

Thank anyone who can help in advance,
Mike :frustrated:

Clocking affects the crank signal to the ECM. IE crankshaft degrees of rotation to signal pulse.

Buy the bellhousing and be done with it.
