Which Clutch For Stroker

Alright yall I didnt see this in the faqs and i googled it but couldnt find the right search terms

my question is on a stroker do you use a 4.0 clutch or a 4.2 clutch or does it matter (this is based on a 92 block,1980 crank,and running an ax15)

I put an OE SACHS 10.4" back in mine, it holds the six cylinder just fine.
In my experience the 10.4" will hold 275-300FTLB ok, any more than that and you WILL need an upgrade, I have a McLeod 11" Borg & Beck six roller assist on my 360 in my Rambler!

Not a good idea if you want to run factory fuel injection.

The 4.2 wheel doesn't have the notches to trigger the crank sensor.

Yep, and on top of that if you are running injection you'll need the correct flywheel per type of injection too, RENIX vs OBD.

jsawduste how do you think that clutch would be ok for rock crawling or slow speed technical stuff?

That's the type of wheeling I like best.

My crawl ratio is close to 90/1. So
much of what gets tackled can be done with the clutch locked up.

Those times it needs to be slipped or disengaged it hangs right in there. The dual friction disc works well when hot.

Best way to endorse it would be to say I'd purchase another no problem.

You'll need the 4.0L clutch assembly, slave cylinder, pilot bearing, and flywheel.
The 4.0L flywheel is a must as it has the notch that's required as a reference for the CPS to know when the no.1 cylinder is at TDC on the compression stroke.
FWIW I've been running a LUK clutch for the last 10 years and 83k km.

My only complaint is I wish I had an AX15 behind it rather than the Peugeot that's in currently

I just installed a LUK gold in my YJ. And right now I must say, I hate it! There is no resistance at all. No feel, no nothing. Just feels like the pedal has a weak spring pulling it back up. Pushing down on the clutch pedal feels like your pushing your foot down into a bowl of mashed potatoes.
I'm having a slight issue with the engine at the moment, but once I fix that, if it doesn't start feeling any better, I feel like I will be ripping out the trans to install a centerforce.
