kinda reverse stroker?

Post by Zorm »

just a thought, what about taking a older 4.2 block and boring it close to safe size, keeping its piston rods and crank (older ones have 12 weights right) getting the newer 4.0 head, welding the needed water ports, then using a OBII system and the 2000+ intake with larger throttle body..

It's been done successfully before so it's possible. A 0.060" overbored 4.2 would have a displacement of 266.4ci or 4366cc (4.4L) but since it uses the original crank, it isn't a stroker.
