1981 4.2 pin,bolt spring

Post by amceaglesx4 »

Does an 81 258 have the same timing gear bolt pin spring setup as the older 4.0 "s ? If so great because I don't need to buy one for my 99 block

A new OEM bolt, spring and pin is only 7 bucks.
I can add it to your parts list.

Seven dollars is a good price. Can I use the 4.2 one though ? Is a 258 stock camshaft the same tread and setup as the older 4.0's ? Btw I got your email Russ. Now I need to figure the best places for my money at this point. I will definitely keep you posted.
