Intake and Exhaust manifold gasket

Post by Skoomamonster »

Does anyone know of a MLS intake/exhaust manifold gasket for the 7120 and 0630 head? Reason being is I have 2 heavily ported jeeps so the gasket will need to be modified and i would really like to have it be reusable because these motors will be pulled apart somewhat often.

I believe i found a mls gasket for the 0331 head but that would require a lot more grinding than i would like but if that is my only option i could give it a shot.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

No gasket like that available for the earlier heads. Might try a custom one.

AFAIK there are only composite gaskets available but they can be reused if relatively undamaged when removed. You could apply some copper gasket spray on each side of the gasket to ensure it seals again.

I ordered a new top gasket set for my engine but got the wrong one, should have had a set for the HO-engine but got a set for the Renix, but the head gasket in that is a MLS,it's a Victor Reinz set,do not have the part number at home, but if anybody whants to know I can check it out next time I get time to go to my garage.

And when I'm at it : I wanted a headgasket of the thinner type (0.043)and this MLS is 0.051 laying in the box,how much can I expect it to compress when installed?
