OK guy's-
First, thanks for all the info on this site, great resource. I'm planning a 4.6/7 stroker for my 2004 WJ.
Second, based on current individual searches/comparisons, who are the best priced parts providers? Are the packages offered by places like Titan a value, or can you get better quality parts and pricing if you buy individual parts?
Fleabay has multiple listings for Master Rebuild kits that seam reasonably priced, but are the parts the best quality? Is it worth it to buy a Master Re-Build kit and combine it with a stroker crank/rods/pistons.
I'm not trying to be cheap here, just want the most quality part for the dollar spent. Been doing a lot of on-line parts chasing and it sure seems like the minute you say "Stroker" the price jumps...
Ideas/thoughts appreciated.

Re: Best current pricing on parts?
If I was to build another stroker I'd cherry pick most of the parts from Summit Racing and buy the 258 crank from fleabay.
With Summit Racing's price-matching policy you can claim the difference if another vendor sells the same part for less.

Re: Best current pricing on parts?
The eBay engine kits from Falcon Global are a good value. Parts quality is very good. If you are concerned about brands, it's best to call them directly and ask.... they will substitute other brands if they have them, might be a price adjustment tho.
I bought their 'short' kit, subbed Clevite bearings for the Kings (extra $$), had to swap the metric rings for 5/64" rings to fit the forged KB pistons, and added ARP rod bolts and a Victor head bolt set. Timing chain/gears may need to be changed if you use an aftermarket cam that does not use the late cam retention plate.
old yeller204 (Titan) has the KB IC944 pistons on eBay right now for $335. They're $512 at Summit.

Re: Best current pricing on parts?
I think you would do fine going either way. If you have the money it might be nice to get all of your parts from one place. At least that way if there was a problem it would be easier to fix. However, You can find the parts MUCH cheaper if you shop around for them individually. I bought 3 258s before I found a crank that I would use. But I only payed 50-100 USD for them on Craigslist so who's counting. I have heard good things about Titian and Golen. I think it would be silly though to pay full price for a 258 crank. I found 3 in less than 6 months in Denver alone. Keep your eyes open and you will still find them. Mopartsconnection.com had the hard to find Mopar Performance valve springs and they will have a lot of your other parts for a good price as well. And then there is always summit racing. Good Luck

I bought a lot of stuff from Falcon global and Summit. Falcon is great.
You may want to do some additional research.akadeutsch wrote: I have heard good things about Titian and Golen.

Re: Best current pricing on parts?
When I bought my stuff earlier this year I found the best prices on the rebuild kit at Clegg. I won't buy from fleabay. The rest of the stuff I bought from O'Reilly (they will match summit price), Summit, Amazon, and RockAuto. It is worth checking all of them on each part to find the best price. RockAuto generally has the best price but shipping can eat the savings.
