Crank Nose Length

Post by jeepxj3 »

Scat's new crankshaft 9-4.2L-3895, it says it has a 2" nose.

Will this length work without a spacer?

What is the length of the Jeep 242 crank nose? does it depend on the year?

I know on my WJ the nose is 2" and i'm pretty sure it's the same for all 242's, so you won't need a spacer. Hope that helps.

The '71-'86 258 cranks have a 64mm nose, while the '87-'90 258 cranks and the 4.0L cranks have a 54mm nose. Looks like you have an '87-'90 258 crank so you won't need a spacer.
