A small 50 trim maybe? I believe my buddy got a t3/t4GSR turbo (Godspeed racing) from ebay. Although an ebay brand it seems to be a better quality part than average ebay crap. Anyway he had it on a small 1.6 & later 1.8 honda motor. Believe its .48 exhaust & he has a .63ar exhaust housing as well. Sucker was quick in his 1.6 sohc motor, spool was near instant & was awsomeness or autocrossing.
With your 2.5 it'd be about the same since your not pushing 8500 rpm, but also have a slightly larger motor. Anyway that turbo has been through 2 builds & was rebuilt with garret internals after the 2nd build. Never an issue over 2 1/2 years. About 4800 miles on the rebuild. I'd say look for something similar in size & go with a rebuilt upgrade 2.5.
Plan for a small cam, slightly ported head, keep compression around the same as stock...NOT lower. It'll hold 5-8psi stock which will gain a lot. Stock compression over lower compression boast sooner spool & more low end & potentially better mileage. More compression than stock is probably a bad idea for boost lol.
Arp rod bolts. Polish rods for less stress. Larger tb..possibly stock 4.0 throttle body. Nice 2.5" exhaust. You'll end up with more mileage if driven accordingly and more power over all. I'd deffinetely go turbo over stroker on a 4cyl engine
I'll ask if my buddy still has that Turbo kicking around. I know the project was parted out after he hit a guard rail racing in some canyon. That was October though so no guarantees.
