AEM F/IC Oxygen Sensor Hook Up...

If I will be tuning via AEM's UEGO wideband sensor does the AEM F/IC really need to tap into the stock narrowband oxygen sensor? The only reason I can see it needing to do this is for changing the signal in case the PCM freaks out over the AFR changing against what it thought should happen after the F/IC adjusts other parameters. The other, why does it tap with 1k OHM resistor instead of intercepting?

You don't have to tie into the factory narrow band. As for adjusting it really doesn't work. I tried it every which way on mine and it either doesn't do anything or makes it go very lean or very rich.

I have seen a few others around the internet that indicated the only way they got it to work was using a much higher value of resistor. I will just leave the wire capped off in the harness for now.
