interesting megasquirt install find

Post by turbojeeper »

so i was preparing my ms for install. i took turbotoms info about a 6 tone shutter wheel in the distributor for the ignition and modifying the hall sensor to work. i have a 93 drivetrain in the truck and was looking at the distributor. the 6 tone wheel i pulled from an early 90's bronco with the straight 6 and tfi ignition. it bolts in perfectly, the wheel lines up right in between the magnet and sensor and from what i can see it looks like the falling edge of each solid shutter is right at tdc of the cylinder. just some hopefully useful info to make install easier.

p.s. this being a 93 distributor i do have a cam sensor from a late 90's cherokee and the wheel is to small. the 93 distributor has the sensor down low and the newer dizzy i believe has the sensor mounted on a plate up top.
