Injector identificaton

Post by cruiser54 »

I got a used 4.6 stroker that needed freshening up. I've done that and I'm gonna install it into a Renix Jeep.

It came with a set of injectors that were used with the stroker in an HO application.

The injectors say Denso, Ford, BZ, 964, and 2881. And they're gray.

Anyone know the specs?

Post pics with both sides clear.

If there is a ford part number on it it is usually in a form like this F47E-A2D or 968F-AC... or like this on newer ones if there is room F0TE-9F593-D9B

If If you can send me a couple pics of the injectors I could probably help you out. I might even have the rebuild parts laying around if you need them.

They're installed, and new or rebuilt, on my stroker sitting on the stand. Is that okay for a photo?

Should be. Just try to get as much of the injector body as you can.

Great idea on the photo. As the flash went off, I saw some smaller ID numbers. 968F-AC.

So, 968FAC injectors are 21s from what I gathered on my Google search.

Never woulda seen those numbers if I hadn't been asked to photograph them!! Thanks.

Around 21.1lb @ 3 bar (43.5PSI). So at 39 psi they would be 20 lb/hr

I'll have an extra set of Ford 24# blue injectors hopefully in a week or so if you want to upgrade.

Just be sure to monitor AFR and if possible your STFT.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!
