Head Gaskets

Post by dan-cj7 »

I'm trying to find a head gasket for my 93 stroker. All the gaskets I get don't have holes through them for the water jacket holes in the deck and the head. I've seen a few pics of builds here and it looks like they get covered with the gasket. Is that right? Isn't coolant going from the head to the block?

Cheers,
Dan.

The majority of the holes do indeed get covered up.

Coolant flows thru the block first, from front to back. Then thru the gasket holes at the rear into the head, and flows forward to return to the radiator.
