Sounds like either my traditional "poor man's" stroker recipe or the modified poor man's is the one for you. Which parts do you already have?

Im doing somethin pretty similar as your describing
.030 bored
new pistons
4.2 crank and rods
stock cam

Its actually a pretty simple stroker set up when you keep the factory cam.

Then you can do a traditional poor man's stroker like mine using the 258 crank, 258 rods, and Z677AP pistons.
