No spark

Post by dzrtrataz »

I had a 4.2l that I added the MPI kit and everything ran fine 8 years. I have installed a 4.6l, but now I'm not getting any spark.

Things that I have done. I extended the cps to work off the transmission instead of the dampener. Changed the wiring to the alternator. That's the only electrical that has been change. This worked fine prior to motor swap.

From what I can tell the distributor is index correctly on the compression stroke at least close enough to see spark. I have replace the cps, all parts in the distributor, coil, ground to motor to body and to battery. I'm not throwing any codes.

This is driving me crazy and not sure where to look. :brickwall: Any ideas.

Thanks

does your setup have a module? your coil should be sitting directly on top of it.
