I'm looking at buying a used 4.0 head and it appears to have aftermarket valve springs in it..I asked the guy to measure the valve spring diameter & the distance between each loop/coil of the springs...They are installed, so he checked the distance between each coil...
Anyway spring diameter was .1545 and the spacing between each loop is .1430..anyone can you confirm if these are stock springs? Or possibly Mopar springs? Any other way to tell?

Re: Question on valve springs!
I believe the second one on the mopar list is the stock spring, even though it doesn't help much. The OEM part number from Alldata is 53010388.
If it is a Mopar performance spring, it will have a damper on the inside--which is like a second spring, but looks more like a ribbon.
