2000+ 4.0l Idler
I am wondering if someone can take a better picture of how this idler that is circled in red mounts. I have now got my 4.0 swapped over basically to this full setup. The one remaining piece is that I am not sure how this idler mounts. Thank you in advance.

Re: 2000+ 4.0l Idler
Many many thanks!!! That is exactly what I needed to see. My head does not have that tapped so I will need to make a bracket of some sort to run the idler but that should be straight forward enough, I will tie it into the brace I am making for the alternator mount since I do not have the correct castings on my block for the lower portion of that mount anyways. Much appreciated, helping me slowly chip away at what I am pulling together.

Why not just tap and drill it? What head are you using?

Re: 2000+ 4.0l Idler
Definitely will post once complete. As far as why I do not drill and tap the head, the basic answer is because I have to build a bracket for that same area anyways so why not just incorporate the idler into it versus tapping the head. There is then also the other piece of, to tap the head correctly I would need to actually remove it and use a drill press to ensure it was straight and I just don't feel like removing the head. Thanks for the insigh everyone.
