68-201-4

Post by herbiehind »

can comp 68-201-4 be used? anyone use it? and can stock valve train be used with it ?
also i'm running 802's at .020 over with 4.2l rods . will this cam if used ping?
thanks . i was gonna reuse stock cam but it may ping and i need it to cut the cam bearings as they mic the same as the cam journals !!!! so cams being cheap and machine shop has no jeep cam, i can kill two birds . block is not decked either .
gonna re-calculate the dcr but it looks like it's close to pinging on stocker . 9.25 is threshold ?

You'll have to see what octane you can use, but it should be less than 93(my 8.5+:1 dcr could use 94-95). That 68-201 has in/ex lifts of .447". Mopar recommended the stock springs for their cams with .43" and .44" lifts, but the P5249464 springs for their .45" cam that I am using. AlexTJ here had some experience with it: http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... 12&p=18234
I don't doubt that Titan used stock valvetrain with it.
