quick ?
did jeep ever put a v6 (3.7 or 3.9) in a cherokee? some guy tried to tell me that they did, but i dont ever remember seeing/hearing of it. just need some help to figure this out or am i going crazy

Yep. Before /till the 4.0. Don't remember how big but from what I understand it was a dog. The engine bay was slightly different (IIRC tough to fit a v8 if you care)

84 to mid 87 jeep had a v6. don't remember the size but it was junk and way underpowered

The GM V6 that was installed in the Cherokees was a 2.8ltr 60* V6, they were DOGS!!!, GM also had 60*engines in 3.1ltr and 3.4ltr displacements.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!

yeah i knew about the older ones but this guy was saying it was in like a 98 or so. and ANYTHING gm is a dog IMO

The 98 Cherokees used the same temp sensors and such as GM.

yeah. the old GM 2.8 what a great piece of engineering that was
My parents had a jeep that was a "Wagoner model" that had that engine they sold it after 2 years to many problems. Glad Jeep stayed with the 4.0
