2.8 to 3.1 A.R.I. stroker kit questions

Hi I found this stroker kit for 2.8L GM engines and I was wondering if it was worth the money. I was also wondering what kind of power I should get out of this kit. I have a 1986 Jeep Comanche and 289,XXX miles so the hills are getting hard to climb. My other concern is gas mileage. The link is here and it is a complete rebuild kit with a stroker cam... Any help would be great.

That's a vary interesting idea, for those that have the 2.8 v6 in there jeep. and stroking that gutless 2.8, is a Grate concept
Unfortunately, i don't thing there is many of us that have dabbled with this Type of stroker.
Our knowledge around here is with the 4.0/258.
If you decide to go this route, let us know how it turns out.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to just swap in a stock 4.0? Wouldnt you get the same or more power out of the stock i6 then a stroked v6?
I would assume the reason why most people havent done this is because its cheaper and better to just swap in a 4.0... stock or stroked either way.

You'd be better off finding a 3.4 or 3.8 v6 out of a camaro/firebird than paying $1500-3300 on a stroker kit for the 2.8. If you go the 4.0 route, you'll need to modify the engine bay/firewall and make sure you get it complete with wiring and ecu.
