Wideband choices?

Post by cigarluvr »

I have a OBD I ZJ and am putting together the final things for my 4.6L stroker and want to know what options for A/F analysis I have out there and what seems to be the most user friendly. Thanks.

I have one of the first LM1s that came out, It has tuned many cars with no problems. I would recommend getting one that data logs as its hard to watch a gauge at wot and be safe.

I personally like one with logging capabilities. Its easier to just floor it and watch the road then pull the logs off and adjust as necessary. I use a Daytona Sensors Wego II on mine and it works well. The software is a bit crude, but it does everything I need it to. They don't have the II anymore but have the III. It doesn't look as nice as the II and I hate blue lights at night in the interior. AEM, Accel, PLS, Autometer, Innovate, Fast and others all sell some form of wideband. It pretty much all boils down to what features and price you are looking for.

Your 00 head will work, but be warned the 00-02 heads are prone to cracking.

The only thing I don't like about the innovate LM-2 is that it really isn't something you can leave in your car the whole time like a gauge based unit.

I will have to respectfully disagree with not leaving it in your car, When I'm not using my LM1 in a customer car mine stays in my car all the time. I put velcro on the back side and it lies on my trans tunnel. I never drive my car without it being hooked up, Because they caution against leaving the sensor in the exhaust without it being powered up. The only down side is that a thief can reach in and remove it very quickly. But it can be unhooked very quickly and put in a lock box or taken with you. Innovate makes all kind of wide bands now so you can get one that suits your needs, And most are a lot cheaper than what the LM1 cost originally.

Sure it can be done, but it looks like crap and is huge. The Jeeps aren't exactly loaded with dash space to put stuff on.

I'm always removing the lm2 to scan other vehicle's cels and to put it away when parked in DC(those crackheads love the easy to spot-n-snatch GPS). Yes the Wideband o2 needs the lm2 to be powered up to get it's heater voltage whenever the car is on. You can get an lc1 with a dash gauge and an AuxBox that can datalog without a big handheld unit if you prefer.

Ok guy's, not to change the subject theres, a lot of different EV6 fuel injectors out there. So I'm thinking''
which do you pick I've found 4 different #24 ford fuel injectors # 1 MPN YF1E-G4B. #2 Manufacturer Part Number: M-9593-LU24. #3 Part #XL2E-C5A off of a 2004 Ford Crown Vic. #4 Manufacturer Part Number: M-9593-AA302 -
#5 .Mustang Ford Cobra 24# injector EV6 XR3E-C5B 0280155865. Some are Green'''' some are orange''' some are gray'''
and some are black with a blue tip, and some are just black and the conector is blue '''' So which one is the best for our
4.6 stroker, Oh yea''' the EV6 style is for the 2000 4.0 engines'' I bleave

For me the Jeep 53032704AB are a near perfect fit for my 2000. The Ford XR3E-C5B were way too large.
