I've got a PSC-1 and LM-1, now how do I put them to work?
I've got the tools that I need tune the motor, also a bluetooth OBDII reader, but I don't have the know-how. I found SilverXJ's thread of how he tuned it in May 2009, but I'm not even there yet. I think he posted something once before, a "how to" on tuning, but I cannot find it. I know gradon has a PSC-1, can he or anyone else with one offer me some advice (or their fuel table so I can plug it into my software and try going from there)?

You want to tune for closed loop first, watching the fuel trims and closed/open loop switch on your OBDII software. You also have to have the R4 software open at the same time to see which sells it is moving to. Set all the MAP values to 10 first (no correction). Reset the PCM, start and idle it and wait for the fuel trims to change. Once you get a fuel trim reading try to correct it and them change all the cells to that value for baseline. Then you need to drive it. It would probably be best if you have someone else drive it so you can watch which cells light up, the fuel trims and the O/C loop status. Once your closed loop fuel trim values are at 0 you can do the open loop/WOT trims using the same method.

You got a better deal than me, I thought that a new unit for $110 shipped was a good deal.
I'll have to get another USB-serial converter, my netbook doesn't have any serial ports and the LM-1 takes my one USB-serial converter already.
How do I tune closed loop? I'm already getting a lambda of 1 in closed loop, it's in open loop that it drops (to around 0.85 for a sustained WOT uphill).

You have to watch the fuel trims with the OBD II scanner and then correct the fuel map until both the LT ans ST trims are at 0%.

Yeah, you'll be zeroing the trims in closed loop. You'll have to tune it, drive it around, use the obd2 fuel trim data to adjust. positive fuel trims means the computer is adding fuel, negative: taking fuel out. Disco battery or pcm fuse to start with a clean slate. When you hit open loop, you'll want to transition from the 14.7:1 in closed loop to a richer mixture in open loop. Best power is 12.5-12.8:1 measured from a front half location(some dyno shops throw one in the tail pipe and shoot for 13:1).

OK everyone, I know this is probably a STUPID question, but how am I supposed to tune this thing when there is no port on the side of the PSC1 to connect to my laptop?!

Remove the cover and there is a port inside.
