New to the board....
Working on a complete re-build of a 1985 CJ7 4 speed manual. I have procured several parts for the rebuild to include a new AFW frame (was never used), a CJ7 metal tub (in excellent shape) and other various parts. I purchased a Jeep 1993 4.0 out of a Jeep Cherokee (Jeep Grand Cherokee automatic) and have the 4.2 in the 85 CJ7. I plan on making a stroker out of these two engines with other new parts purchased. I want an engine which has reasonable power/torque but can function as a daily driver on 87 octane gas. I have read many hours of stroker related material and have on the schedule to start the build in Jan 2011. I live in the Richmond Virginia area thus any help/recommendations on build out/parts/services (machine shops especially) are welcomed!!
