injector question

Post by CoreyK »

I have a 95 xj with a 4.6l stroker. it has 4.2 crank and rods, .30 over speedpro pistons, mopar cam with mopar lifters valves, springs. 2000+ intake and bored 60m throttle body. I was wondering if the mid 90s lt1 injectors would be sufficient for this? If you need more info on my motor let me know im at work and dont have much time to use the comp. Thanks in advance.

They'll be close but you might need to enrich the engine using a MAP adjuster.

I'm running those injectors in my 96(it has the higher 49psi rail). I like them--just make sure to get the newer ones rated 24#@43.5psi and not the ones rated [email protected](you'll have to do a p/n search to distinguish the two).

Gradon,

Just wondering how much more fuel you got with the 24# injectors on the 96? I thought that stock were 23.2lb/hr injectors?

Ford Racing 24lb'ers like the ones I have or other blue top Ford 24lb'ers with EV1 (Bosch style) plug. You'll find plenty in ebay and they're cheap.

Not necessary.

Make your own like I did. Click on http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/MAP_adjuster.html for details.

How much more fuel do you get out of a 24.0lb/hr @ 43.5psi when operated at 49 PSI?

6 PSI difference can't make a significant difference? Or does it? Just wondering out loud. I'm looking at fuel injector options for my 96.

The LT1 injectors seem like a good, cheap option but just was concerned about how different they are from the stock ones.

Yes, 25.5#@49psi. On the 39psi rail, they flow 22.7#(I like witchhunter.com). The blue tops are rated 24#@39psi. Not all blue tops are the same and some of the older ones only have single pintles.
