Do our Jeep I6 motors have a oil filter bypass valve in the filter adapter? I don't remember seeing one when I tore the old one apart.

The filters you use should have a bypass built in. Hopefully it never has to be used...

Te filter has a bypass valve for when it reaches capacity. The oil pump has a bypass for when it reached the pressure of the valve.

Great, thanks! I know that some engines have a little valve that should be replaced when you rebuild.
