Post by laxplayermjd »

Not sure where im supposed to post this.

I have an 88 renix 4.0 i need a intake air temp sensor. it is discountinued part, Does anyone happen to have one or know of a universal type air temp sensor i can wire in to replace it.

ive read that chrysler has a updated part but its 91 and newer. does it have the same resistance readings?

any help would be great

The CTS has the same values as the MAT, so it'll work. I don't have my laptop w/ its bookmarks, but there was a page w/ all the renix sensor values and testing verifications. Let's see if a lil NAXJA search can turn something up. . .

i was figuring the cts . i found that page that shows there both equal and thought about it. however due to the different designs. i believed a cts sensor will work however it will have a much slower respone due to its design. after looking some more it appears gm air temp sensors read almost the same to the renix one, maybe ill be trying that

It's a standard GM part, as are most RENIX sensors (save the TPS and HEGO.) I get mine from Marren Fuel Injection - www.injector.com.

Bendix designed their system to work with mainly GM parts, which makes things simpler for us. Most of the parts are GM of similar vintage, and those will be around pretty much forever.
