Well, most aftermarket cams give at least some of both, but it depends on what you really are after(how you're gonna use it) and what the rest of your engine is.

Will, i just want something a little bit better than stock in the hp and torque dept. ( my jeep my weekend toy) mainly for daily day to day driving, i may past it down to my son when he is 16 but THAT IS A BIG MAYBE it really depends on how he keep up his grades; but we are a long way from that! I really want to take advantage of that ported head i have, that why i was thinking of getting a cam. I have heard that the factory 4.0 cam is better than a lot of after market one's as far as durability goes but don't know if that is true. 8-)

Usually cams with more torque won't have a lot more HP, and cams with a lot of HP won't have a lot of torque. What is your priority? The popular Comp Cams, 68-232 and 68-231 are ground toward the torque side of things.

Then I suggest the 68-231-4 with nitriding process. Plenty of torque. Don't get the kit with the springs though as they won't fit the 4.0L head. Their lifters are fine though.
