comp 68-232-4 degreeing

Post by Bodo »

Hey gang

Got the cam in and am in the process of degreeing it.

cam 68-232-4
Grind # - A6 X4 250H-13

The cam card that came with the cam states valve timing @ .050
Degreeing the cam doesn't match up with the cam specs @ .050. It does match up @ .006

What's the deal? Did I get the wrong cam grind or is the cam card wrong?

Anyone else come across something like this?

I will try to find my card and redo it to see...I can't remember exactly how I did it . I do know that I used a dial indicator . I will let you know as soon as possible

Thanks Wood

Got an answer from Comp. Seems that their cam cards have errors on them. Events are supposed to be @ .006 not .050 like it says on the card.

Funny thing though. Those events are at 110 center line. I can't get the stupid thing to 110. It's either 106 or 116. I guess I'll leave it at 106. The chain will stretch and maybe give me 110 over time...
