I merged the topics for you just to keep all in one.

Do you know what alloy those pistons are made of?

I like the #s. How much deck clearance are you running and what HG(don't recall)? Did the head get shaved or any other work?

Head Gasket (duh) Im not sure, Im not to much worried about the quench since its 0 deck, May even be a little out of the hole with 002 rod bearings. But my main concern is the bore size. I like the fire ring to be as far away from the heat as possible. ( i build a lot of Blower motors). I have only checked the Fel-Pro, And its 4 Inch exactly. I want to find one with 4.030 if possible. Makes me wonder what the ones running 4 inch bores are using?

Sorry its been so long, got dishearted with the machine shop and have been on other prodjects. For your question From the top of the top ring land, to the top of the piston is 255 thousants. I also weighted it and it weighted 474 grams, Where the stock piston weighted 576 grams. If you need more let me know and ill try to answer sooner.

Just wanted to update, Got my rods re sized with the new bolts. I'm not totally satisfied with the out come, But will probably use them. I can post pictures if anyone is interested, Just haven't cleaned them up yet. (didn't want them rusting so i left the honing oil on them).
