Totalseal piston rings?
Anyone have any experiences with the Total Seal rings? Specifically the set they have for the 4.0L with the gapless second ring?

No experience but curious...how do you install a solid ring onto the piston or is it a regular type ring that just runs with no gap

Re: Totalseal piston rings?
i used them on my other project, it is a turbo motor, that has oil squirters in the block. so I am addressing the issue to that. the rings would not seat....basically i needed to run crankcase vacuum pump. eventually got "karnkvents" ( the harley davidson boys might be familiar with those)- problem solved. I have about 600 race miles on the engine before i retired the car to "garage queen".
Quality rings, heard others having good luck, but apparently G54bt block didn't like them (i know at least half a dozen guys with that engine and TS rings, and most of them just tossed rings out... i got a solution after 6 months of screwing around)
