trans install on 4.6

Post by strokin96xj »

ok so i have a 96 xj with an ax-15 manual trans. i am almost ready to install my stroker which is a 91 block and a 12 counterweight 4.2 crank. my question is will i be able to bolt this right up? or will i need a different pilot bushing or do i use my stock one? or will this trans not work at all with the later 4.2 crank? thanks for the help.

I use a $3 pb77hd bushing from advance auto. It is ~1.06"OD and .75"ID. This works for the 96 ax15 into an 81-86 long snout 4-weight crank.
