OK i asked this question a while back, But really hadn't made up my mind as to how i was going to build. Now i have.
Here is what i have, 87 renix block, deck height of 9.447. 1980s 258 4 cw crank. Going to use the 4.0 rods. according to my calculations I'm going to need a piston height of 1.376 in order to get a 0 deck height. And 23 cc dish to keep the compression down in the 9s.Now for the question, Does anyone recommend a specific piston manufacturer? If so why? I am thinking of going with the diamond pistons unless someone can tell me different. Although i have not yet talked to the guys at 505 performance yet, They claim they have a set of Eagle rods and pistons for 1100.00 dollars. Which if this is the case and they are of the correct compression height i will be getting these. Unless someone can give me a better scenario. Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You can also look at the Keith Black 944's.

CP makes GREAT pistons, have used them before.
They get a little pricey, however.

Re: Custom Pistons Recommendation
Do they take custom orders? They cant be much higher than diamond. $130.00 per piston is what they quoted me. But thanks for the comment.lafrad wrote:CP makes GREAT pistons, have used them before.

BRC Pistons. I've never used them, but talked to them back in June.

Take my advice and don't waste your money. BRC used to be a decent manufacturer, but not anymore. Utter Crap.dwg86 wrote:BRC Pistons.
