Two good links on plugs.

I don't care for K&N. I don't like Air-air because it doesn't replace the tube. I have an S&B and while the design is good its execution is horrible. Fit and finish is horrible and I had to modify the air box and the air hat. In the way it came it wouldn't even let me close the hood.

I bought the K&N FIPK some years back for $175(expensive). I like the heat shield and the plastic/composite intake tube(don't use a metal tube that'll radiate heat) , but not the filter(lets fine dust in, as all k&ns do), so I now have an amsoil eauu3090 filter. I have boxed the filter w/ a sunvisor to isolate it from the engine compartment and have cut up the header panel and metal in front of the filter to allow more fresh air in.

I'm intending to replace my S&B filter with an Amsoil and provide more cool air from the front to the box.
