89 XJ donor motor, will it work in my 98TJ?

Hi all,

I have just acquired for FREE (picking it up this afternoon) a complete 4.0L engine from an 89 cherokee. I want to use this engine to build a stoker and keep my current 4.0 in the jeep so I can continue to drive to work and such until the spare motor is completed. Will I be able to use this engine or is it too old to be compatible? Will a newer style intake manifold allow use of fuel injection?
