Main Crank Bearings

Hi, I just dropped my main crank bearings in yesterday. It is a 96 block and I am using FM7211M bearings. I cannot get the oil slots in the bearings to totally align with the holes in the block. I get approx 1/2 to 3/4 alignment but can never see the entire hole in the slot cutout. The number 3 bearing is the thrust bearing, and that one has a hole , not a slot and it aligns perfectly with the hole in the block. Is this normal..thanks
