Just finished breaking in my stroker. The torque is great, but I have a small problem:
IF you rev it above 3500 rpm the engine misses as if there wasn't enough gas. I have a Fuel pressure gauge connected to the rail and it read constantly 35 psi even when the engine missed.
it's an obd1 4.5 stroker with 24lbs ford injectors.

Go read bratcop's project build and read the article.pdf a couple times to learn how to index the distributor and cam sensor properly.

Re: stroker sputters above 3500 rpm
my timing is right....if you accelerate under no load above 3500 rpms it works fine. When you are driving it below 3500 rpm it works great....if you pass 3500 rpm it seems it runs momentarily out of gas as if there wasn't enough fuel being supplied

35psi all the time? that seems low try pulling the vacuum source of the regulator to see if the pressure goes up. also have you ever changed the fuel filter?? did you kink a line when you put the motor in also read the pdf file on brat cops build. good luck
