based off EAP description I'd say that's a pretty accurate setting.

i did look into intake heating and i agree with you that it should probly be full heat, due to the header being RIGHT there. i think i chose prod heat. other than that, the only number i have different from you (from what i could see) is the bearing coefficient. i ended up with 1.2 calculated, but the difference didnt seem to affect numbers at all, i tried both numbers, 1.2 and .9.
oh, and i did actually print the manual from the website. 255 pages, and i decided against double siding. bad plan i am thinking.....

Oh man, I feel for you! I did double sided... And during the "odd" pages at some point the printer sucked up two sheets of paper where the even page was already printed, and then 50 pages later it did it AGAIN! This put everything completely screwy... So I had to re-print the entire back half of the manual a second time, only I didn't realize that the PDF page number didn't match the MANUAL page number...
Maybe don't feel so bad, I wasted more ink and paper then you did

well, with this program i need the help, so i dont feel too bad! but yes, i can imagine the frustration. i think this should be a warning to others. maybe use the text to speech stuff from windows and not bother printing, haha.

Simon had a similar thread on the old Buick Nailheads on V8Buick.com, but didn't get as far as he did with the Jeep.

If you look at flow numbers for SBF aftermarket heads, you will see that they beat the jeep numbers by about 100cfm on both intake and exhaust. since the SBF has the same cylinder spacing as the jeep motor, you could splice 2 heads together an make a new head that would flow great, problem is that you would probably still be limited to 5200-5400 rpm because of the crank harmonic issue. So you would not really be able to use the extra flow. now if yo wanted to put a turbo on it, the extra flow and cross flow head design would work great.
