The first screenshot is a bone stock '00-'04 4.0.

The second screenshot is the same engine bored/stroked to 4.6L but otherwise internally stock (i.e. stock unported head, stock cam). A header-back exhaust is the only external performance mod, with the stock airbox and stock TB used.

That's basically the same thing I had, Just a little different compression and a ported head. It amazes me what you gain in torque by stroking an engine.

The second screenshot is with a stock unported head. A ported 0331 head would have added another 10hp, making the maximum 236hp.

I used cam specs at 50 so mine were a little different than yours. When I ran some of the aftermarket cam specs I was surprised that the late stock cam made as much or more torque than a lot of them.

It would be interesting if you would post the results you got with the different after market cams. Really would love to see how different after market cams compare with no other changes.

Now, I understand the stock engine is optimized for emission results and the stock cam is also optimized to give decent performance and optimal emissions. So an engine tuned for best emissions may not show off the best part of an after market cam shaft.

When I get home this evening I'll run a couple of the aftermarket cams with my stroker specs as a baseline and post them here.

As you can see on the sims the Jeep cams seem to put out the most torque for what they are.
Add a little Lif and their may be even more available.
I'll run those later.

-bigal389-- Is it Big Al or is it Bi Gal??

Can you redo the Mopar 28 and Comp 232 with 1.7:1 rockers which will add about 6.25% more lift.
Thanks.

iPhones suck is the quick answer.

Apple wants you to do everything their way using all of their software, hardware, and accessories. They don't play well with pretty much every other format in the world. I'm on many different boards and every time I see pics like that, the reason always turns out to be because iPhone. I'm sure there is a way to fix it using an iPhone, but I don't know how as I've never used one for more than s couple of minutes.

Mopar 228 1.7.PNG
Mopar 228 with 1.7 rockers.
Doesnt really increase peak torque but does increase at other RPMs

Jeep 4.6 Mopar 229 1.7.PNG

Mopar 229 with 1.7 rockers, same as above.
